Dr. Matteo Bordicchia is a highly skilled and dedicated Registrar in Small Animal Medicine at Veterinary Specialists of Sydney (VSOS). With a profound commitment to advancing veterinary care, Dr. Bordicchia brings a wealth of expertise and compassion to our team.
Dr. Bordicchia graduated from Camerino University in Italy, initially gaining valuable experience working with horses before developing a keen interest in small animal medicine. His dedication to the field earned him a scholarship to spend six months at the Eccole Veterinarie in Toulouse, France, followed by a one-year internship in Sweden.
Upon returning to Italy, Dr. Bordicchia worked in several private practices before co-founding his own veterinary hospital with three colleagues. For eight years, he successfully managed and operated this clinic, during which time he also earned an international master’s degree in diagnostic imaging of small animals. Additionally, Dr. Bordicchia completed a residency in ECVIM-approved Small Animal Medicine in combination with a PhD
At VSOS, Dr. Bordicchia is renowned for his meticulous approach to patient care and his ability to navigate challenging medical cases. Outside of his professional life, Dr. Bordicchia enjoys exploring the scenic beauty of Sydney, engaging in outdoor activities, and spending quality time with his family and pets.
