What is a mobile specialist vet and how does it work?

When you diagnose a pet with an illness or injury and you need help from a specialist, VSOS provides a service where our specialists can come to you and treat your patient. This keeps the pet under your care and provides an affordable alternative for your patients.

Our mobile service provides you with 3 basic services:

  • Mobile surgical specialists (eg. TPLO, fracture repairs and complex mass removals)
  • Mobile diagnostic imaging (eg. abdominal or cardiac ultrasound)
  • Mobile internal medicine (eg. Endoscopy, cystoscopy, bronchoscopy, stents, etc)

How to Request VSOS

To request a specialist to come to you for a mobile procedure (surgery, medicine or imaging) please follow the simple 3 step process:

  1. Contact VSOS via phone, email, text, WhatsApp or other with your case. We also have a handy form at the bottom of this page if you prefer.
  2. There is the option of a pre-procedure consultation which can be done at your clinic or over the phone.
  3. Book the procedure for a mutually convenient date
