Vet Nurse
As a veterinary nurse, Jet organises the instruments and arranges all the surgical needs daily. He also visits clinics when mobile surgeries take place. All of which are aspects of his job that he loves.
But his highlight of the day is always prepping the animals for surgery and assisting the senior vets during the surgeries themselves. It’s where he gets to showcase his best-practice principles and meticulous care for each animal in need.
An aspiring vet in the making, Jet has long had an affinity with caring for animals.
“I think becoming a vet will allow me to make a difference every single day. Right now, I love being able to help the animals and the team in any way that I can by doing my part.”
This love and affection have always been there for Jet from a young age, and like with many of the VSOS team, he had a desire to make a meaningful impact on the lives of animals in need.
“I’ve always had the love for them. I’ve always wanted to be with animals and help diagnose what’s wrong with them and to help make them better.”
One of the things Jet loves most about being part of the team at VSOS is that it’s a very inclusive environment, and the senior vets have a genuine culture of teaching and sharing knowledge. Which for Jet is absolutely crucial because as a budding vet, he gets to be part of the ins and outs of every aspect of the surgical practice.
This, and knowing that at the end of the day all the patients and owners he’s seen have been treated well and are going to be happier for the experience they’ve had at VSOS is what really drives him.
“Being a member of VSOS allows me to get hands-on experience in the industry. It’s an invaluable experience working with this team and our lovely clients.”
